StitchCraft Quilt Factory
Free Motion Quilting on a Domestic Machine
In this class, we will cover all the tips and tricks to accomplish stellar quilting on your projects WITHOUT using a longarm or hiring out your quilting. It is ideal for smaller projects, but it is also possible to quilt very large and elaborate projects on a home sewing machine, and we will cover that as well.
You will need a standard sized sewing machine, and a free motion foot (or darning foot), as well as a sense of adventure.
Please also bring (or purchase):
a small quilt top up to 36" square or so, enough backing for the top you plan to quilt, enough batting for the project, an assortment of threads you would like to use, 90/14 or 100/16 topstitch, microtex, or quilting needles, a lot of safety pins OR 505 basting spray, and a lunch.
